Boss Hogg Outlaw L.E.$. has been busy, building a discography around smooth, serene production and impeccably strong songwriting. The video for “Beautiful” is the latest in this run, with the rapper going in over a lush beat from The Olympiks. As ever, his rapping splits the difference between hungry up-and-comer and relaxed regular-guy, one of the seemingly contradictory tensions that drives hip hop these days. He has a new tape dropping soon entitled Menace; the lead single for that project will drop next week.
