Christopher Shannon Debuts Not-So-Basic Spring Basics

February 03, 2012

Christopher Shannon does some wild, wackadoo things on the London runways, turning run-of-the-mill streetwear inside out with prints and oddball materials, but for a new, more accessible diffusion line called Kidda, he's distilled all of that gusto into something simpler. The line "will only be about printed jersey pieces," the designer told Dazed & Confused, which means you'll be able to rock pretty paisley and gold chain prints on comfy, Hanes-like sweatshirts and oversized T-shirts. We love Shannon for his more over-the-top iterations, but it's nice to see that he can also keep his feet firmly on the ground, and we'll definitely want to be including Kidda in our spring wardrobe.
