The cool thing about Battles is that although their music is distinct and hyper-complicated, it still manages to be open to interpretation. The band and their label, Warp, obviously know this just as well as we do, because on February 20th they're releasing a 12-inch with remixes from Shabazz Palaces, Kode9 and, most unexpectedly, The Alchemist. Stream the Shabazz one below, it sits comfortably with the rest of their work to the point that we wouldn't even realize it had much to do with Battles if we didn't already know.
