This week, we started sharing features from our brand new Spring Style issue, FADER #78, online. Below, we've collected some reactions to our previous issue, FADER #77. Have something to say? Write us at letters@thefader.com. Even easier, tweet @TheFADER or leave us a comment on TheFADER.com, our Facebook page or our Tumblr.

Two of our 2012 Producers to Watch, Skywlkr and Beautiful Lou, celebrated their status.

Over the past four months or so I’ve been undergoing my first semester of student teaching in an elementary school. This meant no time for pleasure activities. New books and magazines were traded for papers and math tests to grade, among other things, and I must say it had me pretty worn out. However, I’ve made it out alive and have surely grown significantly as an educator. Prior to this undertaking I was an avid reader of FADER, but as I said, had no time to read. During my holiday shopping I was glancing over magazines and thought I saw the familiar face of one of my favorite musicians, Mr. McCombs. I was excited to see he was on your magazine cover and quickly grabbed the issue. It sat on my desk for a couple of days, being so far out of the routine of reading and finding time for myself. This evening I was on the phone with my girlfriend and was casually thumbing through the issue, not reading the articles but noticing how genuinely remarkable the design and the layout of your publication really is…I flipped through the magazine maybe 15 times, just admiring it. The rest of my night was spent reading and catching up on everything that is going on in the music world. Thank you for producing such an amazing magazine, thank you for writing about artists like Cass and Mark McGuire. Thank you for being so consistent. Thank you for allowing me a couple of hours of enjoyment during a stressful time.
