Video: Marijuana Deathsquads, "Crazy Master"

The Gayngs crew gets weirder. Marijuana Deathsquads, another project of Gayngs' founder Ryan Olson, takes collaborative spirit and dips it in formaldehyde (obviously he smokes it after that). In addition to Olson, Deathsquads features Isaac Gale, Stefon Alexander (aka P.O.S.), Ben Ivascu, and they are making a big racket of bloops and heavy, heavy drums. They're calling themselves a "noise collective" and while that isn't far from the truth, the group isn't as random as noise, or as angrily aggressive. It's gooey, for sure, but all the parts are celebratory, ridiculous and wild, happily toeing the line between bad taste and who cares. The vocals are filtered through a ’90s bullhorn. The video is taking an acid bath and we get the chemtrails. Something in the water in Minneapolis. See Marijuana Deathsquads live on a brief tour (dates below), starting tonight in Austin.
