Stream: Ceremony, “Send Me Your Dreams”

LAMC-001-7inchcover

In late 2010, Ariel Panero passed away. A member of the particularly great and weird group Tough Knuckles and a motivating force behind NYC show space, Less Artists More Condos, his absence has been felt. The Famous Class label has begun a 7-inch series in his memory, with all digital proceeds going to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music. The first record features Matador Records’ the other Ceremony and A Place to Bury Strangers. Hear Ceremony’s “Send Me Your Dreams” below and pick it up here. The next in the series featured Future Islands and Ed Schrader’s Music Beat. For more info on the project, check out Famous Class’ LAMC page and buy the release on Bandcamp.

I’m pretty sure this is not the Matador Records Ceremony, but another band from Virginia.

This is what we who have good hearing call “The good Ceremony” or “The Ceremony that’s good” not that 2-bit insultingly bad “punk” band on Matador. God that band is shithouse.
