Imperfect politico M.I.A. has composed original theme music for WikiLeaks founder Julian Asange's new talk show, The World Tomorrow. The show's first episode will air April 17th, online and on the English-language flagship station of RT, a government-funded, multilingual Russian news network. World of Tomorrow, announced in January, will feature "in-depth conversations with key political players, thinkers and revolutionaries from around the world." Assange has already filmed 12 episodes at his country home in the UK, where he's been on house arrest for more than a year while avoiding extradition to Sweden, where he is accused of sexual misconduct. M.I.A. has not been confirmed as a guest on the show, but a spokesman for WikilLeaks (who today tweeted that “M.I.A. is the Julian Assange of pop music”) says the pair met in London, where Assange evidently borrowed her laptop:

M.I.A. released Vicki Leekx, a mixtape inspired by the controversy surrounding WikiLeaks and mixed by Nguzunguzu, on the last day of 2010. Watch her visuals for that project here, and a preview of The World Tomorrow above.
