New Jersey-based master of dark, high-BPM dance music, Physical Therapy, has (unofficially) remixed Nicki Minaj’s “Beez in the Trap,” presenting his take alongside a hopefully YouTube copyright-cop-defying video edit by Steve Grisé. With his denser version, Physical Therapy fills the space between the track’s originally spare, Kenoe-produced bubbles with Dangerous Drums-style breakbeat and a vocal effect that makes 2 Chainz sound like he’s rapping through a pool filter. The beez become like actual bees, swarming along channels paved by the bass, tussling Nicki’s hair and stoking the dancers’ melissophobia from their sound alone.
