Stream: Four Tet, “Jupiters”

May 08, 2012

Earlier today, Four Tet shared a new single on his Soundcloud, pointing toward a 12-inch to be released on his label, Text later this year. The A-side, "Jupiters," feels like two periods in Four Tet history folding together: the song opens with sharp-edged sunbeam synths reminiscent of Rounds, before dropping into a clutter of pops and big bass drums sounding something like five tracks by Burial—a recent collaborator—stacked on top of one another. Also just announced: In November, Four Tet and Caribou will reunite at Brixton Academy, performing for an awesomely low (and already sold-out) £5.
