When Riff Raff came to our offices last week, his responses to fact-based questions were, unsurprisingly, a total wash. He speaks more fluidly when he’s being absurd. In the first half of the interview, Riff Raff appeared as his usual self (whatever that means), until a question about his British-accented alter ego, Jody Highroller, made him call for a pause. He asked everyone to leave the room for a wardrobe change, and we obliged. Five minutes later, having only removed his tank top and changed sunglasses, he blessed the second half of the interview with an appearance by the Highroller himself. In the video’s final shot, as he storms out the door, you see a glimpse of FADER senior editor Amber Bravo turning the corner at the same time. She says he locked his eyes on her, snuck up Pink Panther style, procured a miniature hair brush and, without a word or a shirt on his back, began to brush her hair. Make of that what you will.
