Brooklyn Bound: An Exclusive Download From Poliças Converse Rubber Tracks Performance

June 15, 2012

There’s a great American tradition of New York being a welcoming port and FADER teamed up with Converse’s new Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn to further it. Once a month, we’ll be welcoming touring artists to the neighborhood with a visit to a local Brooklyn institution, as well as making time for an intimate performance. Catch that exclusive show, interview and MP3s right here.

On this very site, writer Frances Capell once called Poliça psychedelic-tinged R&B. It's as accurate a descriptor as any for the Minneapolis supergroup comprised of other band's all stars and the one who Bon Iver has bigged up continuously. Live, Poliça are only mildly psychedelic (providing you havent actually ingested psychedelics) but also as fun as R&B gets, danceable to the point of euphoria, a feeling they were kind enough to extend with brand new music during their Converse Rubber Tracks set. While we don't have any of that for you, we do have "Form" for download below, which should temporarily quench your thirst for the groove.

Download: Poliça, "Form (Live at Converse Rubber Tracks)"
