HITStory, the debut mixtape from "Niggas in Paris" producer Hit-Boy, begins with an autobiographical prologue; over climbing piano stabs, Hit-Boy assesses his quick rise and desire to share: God damn I was just home, now I’m number three on The Throne/ I had so many emotions, that I had to make it into a song. Later, he goes for an aggro, double-time flow alongside Big Sean on "Option" and sandwiches himself between Chip tha Ripper and Bun B on skittering "Busta Ass Niggas." The guest that's nicest to see is Stacy Barthe, the songwriter turned singer who jumpstarted her career by moving to Atlanta to work with Hit-Boy. She sings the hook of "Running In Place," the tape's disarming closer. Download HITStory below, followed by the video for "Jay-Z Interview."
