Afro-Punk returns to Brooklyn this year with an incredible lineup, including TV on the Radio, Erykah Badu, Alice Smith, Venus X, Toro y Moi, Das Racist and Flatbush Zombies. The 8th edition of the outdoor festival, which features food trucks, a thrift market and custom bike competition as well as music, will take place August 25-26th in Fort Greene’s Commodore Barry Park. As ever, the event is totally free, but check back here this week for a chance to win VIP tickets. I have many favorite videos by several of the Afro Punk Festival Artists on the Lineup, however, if I had to chose one, it would be “Window Seat” by Erykah Badu because of the amount of fucks she gives in the video [zero]. Pure Love.

ONE VIDEO? You crazy. I could make a film festival out of my favorite videos by these guys, and it’d be a damn site better than any of that Robert De Niro Tribeca shit. If I had to pick one, I think I’d go for Nine Types of Light by TV on the Radio, because even though it’s an hour long when it’s over I guarantee you’ll be like, “Damn.”
