Sures are a surf-pop quartet from the suburbs of Sydney, founded last year by school buddies Matt Hogan and Jonas Nicholls. This year, they released their debut EP, Stars, and played shows supporting Wavves, Best Coast and Real Estate in Australia. On "The Sun," a spare tambourine and rubbery seaside guitar lick allow their rich vocal harmonies to shine like wave-tops at high noon. It's warm and easygoing; as the days get shorter, it's a nice way keep best parts of summer close by.
