Body High is a newish label out of LA that put out one of the best, most danceable and innovative records so far this year with New Jersey club prince DJ Sliink, so it's no surprise that the founder and owner of the label, Samo Sound Boy, has his own incredible debut for the label. He's putting out his first solo Body High EP 5 Dollar Paradise on September 25, and the opening single is a super weird, super hard collaboration with Zebra Katz’s Njena Reddd Foxxx. "Acid Walk" is, true to its title, acid-y as fuck, the sharper edge of acid, too, and just like Sliink, it's strict dance music for people that go to clubs to actually dance. "When I made the beat, I had been listening to Trina’s 'Long Heels, Red Bottoms' a ton. To me, that's pretty much a perfect track: minimal and raw and hypnotizing." he says. "I'm really into Njena because she just has this delivery that's cool, calm and collected but also fierce at the same time, like she's controlling it all: the track, the club, the listener, everything."
