Stream Josephine Foster’s Album Blood Rushing

September 17, 2012

Last week, I put together an Angel Olsen-themed Spotify playlist, showcasing some highlights from the Anglo-American psych-folk tradition that she mines. In other freak-folk throwback news, Colorado singer-songwriter Josephine Foster is back on the block with her unmistakable, warbling falsetto and Blood Rushing, a new full-length. A self-described "rock-ballet chanté," the album follows the half-intelligible movements of an alter ago named Blushing, and co-stars slide guitar, Spanish-style plucking, and some delightfully raw-sounding violin. Stream the entire album below, or grab it from Fire Records today.
