Stream: Cold Cave, “A Little Death To Laugh”

September 24, 2012

Following last year's sharp-angled Cherish the Light Year LP, Cold Cave mastermind Wes Eisold has reportedly reconfigured the morose electronic project as a four-some, with AFI's Hunter Burgan, Samhain's London May and Blood Brother's Cody Votolato. The group is slated for some studio time in Los Angeles this fall, with an album projected for 2013, but Eisold's gone ahead on his own and prepared a three-song seven-inch to tide us over. On title cut "A Little Death To Laugh," he slurs in characteristically deadpan fashion over a most infectious synth bass riff, inviting us to return to that collectively imagined, basement goth club of the mind where all the freaks can get down with an upside-down smile. Pick up a copy on the band's website, read more about Eisold in our Gen F profile and catch the new line-up at one of the dates below.
