Stream: Faunts, “What I’d Love to Hear You Say”

Faunts by Amanda Gallant

Faunts, the shoegazy Edmonton band formed in 2000, have a new EP of unreleased songs from their early career, originally conceived in sessions for their debut, High Expectations/Low Results. The new EP of lost material, Left Here Alone, includes “What I’d Love to Hear You Say,” a gorgeous, autumnal song with an especially delicate buildup, six minutes to look back at times you wish would’ve slowed down. Left Here Alone comes out November 20th via Friendly Fire Recordings.

This track has actually been around for quite some time (it was featured back in 2005 on Faunts’ webpage as a free download shortly before the release of their first album and being signed with Friendly Fire). Still nice to know it’s finally going to be officially released.

Yes, this has been on Youtube for a while but it’s very clearly a new recording.
