Golden Donna is the synth project of Joel Shanahan, a Madison, Wisconsin-based musician with a knack for shredding guitar-style on the oscillators. "Shifter," a cut from his first LP, which drops this week on Not Not Fun, ups the dance appeal of arpeggio-based composition with some skipping beats and snarling solos.
