Video: Profligate, “Videotape”

November 20, 2012

Robert Beatty, best known for his album covers for the likes of Hieroglyphic Being, Peaking Lights and OPN, takes to motion graphics with this new video excerpt for Profligate's forthcoming "Videogame" 12-inch on Not Not Fun. An electronic/industrial project from Noah Anthony, formerly of the band Social Junk, "Videotape" has that early ’80s, sc-fi-action-sequence sound that pairs perfectly with Beatty's retro-future, tessellated overlays. But you can zone out to this music with or without the hypnotic visuals.
