Stream: The Holydrug Couple, “Follow Your Way”

The Holydrug Couple is the Santiago, Chile-based duo of close friends Ives Sepúlveda and Manuel Parra. Recording-wise, they're an entirely at-home operation, and they make the kind of melodically ambitious, slightly off-kilter psych-rock that you might overhear in a bar and mistake for a lost-and-found nugget from the late '60s or early '70s, and that you end up kicking yourself for never asking the bartender about, because it's extremely unlikely that you'll ever come across it again. The good news is, their new Noctuary LP will be widely available via Sacred Bones come January 22nd, and that it has tracks on it like "Follow Your Way," which sounds like an extra strung-out, underwater take on Arthur Lee. And if you're heading that way, you can also catch them at SXSW and the Austin Psych Fest this year.
