Rihanna Debuts at London Fashion Week

Word is that fashion folks are upset because Rihanna was an hour late to her 9-minute debut runway show for her new clothing line, but honestly, what did people expect? Rihanna always lives up to her name, and that’s true for her new collection as well, a collaboration with her style right-hand man Adam Selman and the UK mass retailer River Island—a slinky, clingy collection of bra tops and long skirts with slits up to the thigh that you’ll only pull off if, like her, you do not give a fuck. The clothes were set to a soundtrack of Memphis Bleek and ASAP Rocky, and seemed to be split into three distinct lifestyle categories: strolling the beaches in Barbados, comfy and cozy chilling in the studio and going out to the club. Check the video above, and start doing crunches for when clothes hit stores in the fall.

I think they wouldn’t been more forgiving of her tardiness if they had liked the clothes. From what I’ve seen, everyone is lambasting her collection. Poor girl!!!

Her collection was full of everyday pieces that almost anyone can wear. I think her and River Island wanted to collaborate on something that people would actually wear, rather than creating outrageous fashions that everyday people wouldn’t buy. River Island wants to make money, not risk it.
