Lumerians, the San Francisco psych-rock powerhouse that previously counted The Soft Moon's Luis Vasquez as a member, has a new record, The High Frontier, coming out on August 6th via Partisan. Lead single "The Bloom" has an expansiveness appropriate to its name, branching outwards and upwards from a krauty rhythmic foundation with galactic synth tentacles and synthetic choir voices. With its undulating octopus and jelly fish silhouettes, this lava lamp-like, Kerry Laitala-directed animation seems just as determined to swallow up everything in its path.
