Stream: Pharaohs, “Syzygy”

March 28, 2013

A few years since dropping "Uhh Uhh," LA four-piece Pharaohs are back with a full album of fractured disco and confident synth leads that speak, squelch and buzz. One of the wonky standouts is "Syzygy," its title a new-to-me word they define this way: "A syzygy is the alignment of three or more celestial bodies. eclipses, tides, moonquakes. Imagine the possibilities! The idea was different things aligning and becoming one (like parts in a song). Syncing is everything." Pharaohs' Replicant Moods LP comes out April 20th via 100% Silk.
