Stream: Mood Rings, “Pathos y Lagrimas”

April 30, 2013

Mood Rings released one of my favorite slept-on gems of 2011 with Sweater Weather Forever, and now the wistful Atlanta band have finally come through on that EP's promise, signing to Mexican Summer and prepping a debut album, VPI Harmony, out June 25th. "Pathos y Lagrimas" is its first single, out now on 7-inch. Here's what the band says about it:

Literally written in a shack of a house owned by our bass player last summer, this track came together rather quickly, whereas our previous tracks spanned between two and three years of our time. It is a song about isolation and the realization of love's relevancy or the fading of that certain feeling. "Life is good when life is gone, time dissolves the strongest love."
