All of Aïsha Devi's new EP, Aura 4 Everyone (out now on Danse Noire), is distant, the aural equivalent of falling into a glazed-eye trance. You might be more familiar with Devi as Kate Wax, but if not, that's okay too, because this project is completely self-contained. "Jesus & The Math" is a highlight (the whole EP is full of them, to be honest), melding her filtered vocals to thin handclaps and intergalactic keys. It is beautiful and dark.
