Members of Oakland's Trails & Ways have spent time in Spain and Brazil, whose languages have informed the band's singing—if not their music's general verve, too, which they've called "emigration dream pop"—on tracks like "Nunca" and their latest, "Como Te Vas." Taken from a forthcoming debut, Trilingual, the beachy "Como Te Vas" is seriously encouraging me to switch from blue jeans to bathing suits until further notice. The watermelon days are upon us—great to have songs like this on hand.
