The musical output from Gothenburg, Sweden is pretty astonishing: Studio, The Tough Alliance, Little Dragon—we could go on. For such a small place, there are definitely a lot of jams. Enough, in fact, that some excellent ones manage to go overlooked. Boat Club’s Caught the Breeze is one of those releases. "Memories" is built on the things that make the music from Gothenburg so great: lilting vocals, sun-dappled guitar and a tropical disco backbeat that offsets some of the sadness in the lyrics. It feels like a perfect little world. Caught the Breeze is out in reissue form from Cascine July 23rd.
