FADER PREMIERE

Earlier this month, UK singer/producer/film buff Pete Lawrie Winfield, who performs as Until The Ribbon Breaks, released his debut EP, A Taste of Silver. (You can stream it in its entirety here.) Now, he's created a video for Silver track "Perspective," which deftly chops up clips of actors Jason Schwartzman and Anna Paquin. Of the making of "Perspective," which features Stones Throw rapper Homeboy Sandman, Winfield says:

I had written my verses and finished the track, I knew I wanted Sandman, as I had recently heard his track 'Illuminati' and thought he would fully understand the concept. I was still living in the UK at the time and had no label, no 'team' and no idea how to ask one for your favourite rappers to appear on your track. I decided to guess his email address. A month later, I was in a travel lodge in Bristol with the man himself, recording his verse onto my knackered laptop. Thank you Universe, thank you Sandman

Until The Ribbon Breaks opens for Lorde on a North American tour next week. See a full schedule of dates below.
