FADER PREMIERE
Plastic Mermaids win me over on from the start on their debut track, "Polaroids." A five-piece from the Isle of Wight, they sound happy to be small here, giving due space to piano, strings, some garbled sample trick and the lead singer's just barely faltering voice. The tones are just all right—there's something very classic about this. Makes sense given the track title to include a few nice pics from their blog.
