Watch Kanye Sing a Song About Michael Jordan in Chicago

December 19, 2013

Last night in Chicago, Kanye West turned what might have been a rant in any city other than his hometown into an auto-tuned stream of conscious salute to Michael Jordan. Perhaps so moved by the Bulls banners hanging over him, he lamented Jordan's late-career move to the Wizards, and the systematic discrimination that he believes forced it. "I'm talking about one of the most important people in our civilization, one of the most influential people in our civilization," he said. "They tried to marginalize, and in order for him to make his point, he had to put on a motherfucking Wizards jersey!" It seems not everyone believes this was the case, but Kanye sure does! And his case, spelled out over a deconstructed "Runaway" beat, is nothing if not inspired. We should've never ever let MJ play for the Wizards...
