Vans Team with Della for Batik-Dyed Kicks

Vans imports Batik methods from Ghana for a new range of kicks.

January 08, 2014

OG skate brand Vans has teamed up Della, a socially-responsible L.A.-based design Della that employs a village-based collective of craftswomen in the West African country of Ghana. In exchange for utilizing their classic Ghanaian batik dying methods, Della provides healthcare benefits, literacy classes and social security for their crew of female artisans. Dressing up Vans' SK8-Hi, Era and Authentic silhouettes in their unique texties, Della has exported a bit of West African swag to these classic skate sneakers. Shop the collection here.
