Great Valley is the Brattleboro, Vermont-based duo of Peter Nichols and Jo Miller-Gamble. Perhaps even more than their similar-sounding contemporaries there—Blanche Blanche Blanche, Happy Jawbone Family Band, Chris Weisman—their madcap, melodically wandering folk-rock sounds kind of like what would happen if The Incredible String Band took over a sorta creepy, handpuppet-and-fairytale centric, low budget children's show. That's pretty much exactly the vibe of this video for "Lakey Lady," a track from their recent Lizards of Camelot cassette, which the band describes as "a vivid tale of a reptilian-led escapade through lands unknown," and is out now via NNA Tapes.
