Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael Rocks have officially ended their year-long hiatus, called so that they could pursue their own careers, and are back to making music as The Cool Kids again. Today the Chicago "meta-rappers" jump back in with not one, but two new singles: the Inglish-produced "Computer School" and "Chop." For the latter, they teamed up with the Bay Area's fast-rising HBK Gang. It begins like a Cool Kids song, with neat rhyme schemes and spare throw-back productions; but then at about 2:30 a wave of warm synth washes in to fill some of the space and announce HBK's arrival. If you were a fan in 2008, chances are good that you might be into this as well. Their comeback album, Shark Week, is due out later this year.
