Video: Temples, "Mesmerize"

FADER PREMIERE
Temples it the UK-based four-piece of singer/guitarist James Bagshaw, bassist Tom Warmsley, drummer Sam Toms and keyboard player Adam Smith. Their music sits pretty resolutely in the '60s psychedelic throwback lane, but their melodies are so acrobatic and painstakingly honed that simply sounding like The Pretty Things never feels like an end in itself.
Here's an Egyptology-tinged animated video for "Mesmerize," starring a floating pyramid, sacrificial blood droplets and the band members' own likenesses rendered in stone. It's a track off the band's debut album, Sun Structures, which is out February 11th via Fat Possum.
