FADER PREMIERE

After Little Pain emerged last summer, I honestly didn't think he'd make it to a mixtape. When he released a mixtape in December, I figured that'd be the end, like the just-crossed-the-finish-line breaking point of an artistic practice (rapping about being sad) in which getting out of bed seems a triumph. Well, that wasn't the case. And as this teary-eyed fellow soldiers on, what can I do but pat his shoulder as he passes by, nudge him forward on his road to wherever. "Tommy Strawn" is the first song since When Thugz Cry, an ode to the downtrodden, no-job-having Martin character. Drip-133 produces, impressively.
