FADER PREMIERE

A few weeks back, in Benjamin Lebrave's column about African music, Lungu Lungu, he turned us on to Bison, an Angola-raised, Lisbon-based producer working in the slow, sexy style of tarraxinha. Without a doubt, you could get certifiably up-close-and-personal to Bison's new EP, in collaboration with fellow Lisbon producer Squareffekt, but for me it's also a fine record to zone out. Generation Bass, who're releasing it soon, are calling the record a "new, mutant strain of African Diaspora"—if that's what you're into, you'll eat it up; even if you're unaware of the context, you'll vibe.
