FADER PREMIERE

Del Venicci is the glammy brainchild of singer-guitarists Grace Bellury and Ross Politi, two proudly Italian-American, Atlanta-based musicians who started making music together after bonding over the fact that they both had grandmothers who were opera singers back in the old country. Not all that surprisingly, "Teenage Swingers," the first single from their upcoming Haunted Hall EP, kicks off with a tape-warped opera sample before launching into the sort scream-filled, sex-crazed, post-punk anthem that will charm fans of 4AD's '80s output and The Rocky Horror Picture Show in equal measure. With its funereal references, amorous hijinx and multifarious ensemble cast, the video even feels like a scene out of a rock opera. Haunted Hall is out February 25, 2014 via local imprint Prima Satisfaction.
