Here's a new one from Samo Sound Boy, the West Coast producer/DJ who co-founded Body High. "Open" is a seven-minute brain burner that typifies the emotive, drugged-up, analog house that his small, LA-based label is known to produce. For a track that's built around just a few core elements (anxious percussive loop, three-word vocal sample, melancholic synths) "Open" feels anything but minimal. The song is off Sound Boy's new two-track EP, Open / Divine, which is due sometime in mid-March.
