DIS Magazine Launches Radio

Media conglomerate DIS Magazine takes over the airwaves.

March 07, 2014

DIS Magazine’s master plan as a web site and creative agency seems to be to take all the different worlds in the culture landscape (fashion, art, corporate branding, music, video) and sew them together into some kind of of multimedia Frankenstein; last night, they launched DISown, a hybrid retail-art exhibition at the Red Bull Studios in New York with contributions from Hood By Air, Bjarne Melgaard and Ryan Trecartin that they promise is something like the Karl Lagerfeld for H&M of the art world. The takeover continues: this weekend, they begin DISown Radio, a 4-week long experiment in live broadcasting that feature live sets from their favorite musicians, interviews, kiki sessions, podcasts and anything that can be transmitted over waves. You can start listening here starting tomorrow—check below for showtimes.
