Stream: August Alsina f. Rick Ross, "Benediction"

New Orleans R&B thug August Alsina gets gospel on the newest single from his Def Jam debut, Testimony, entitled "Benediction" and featuring Rick Ross. It's a feel-good, count-your-blessings number that's a pretty significant departure from last year's more street-centric The Product 2 tape. Even comparing Testimony’s star-studded tracklist, released yesterday, shows how far Alsina's come since last year: aside from Ross, the album will feature Jeezy, Pusha T, Fabolous, Trinidad James, B.o.B and Yo Gotti (on the other hand, I worry that padding his debut with so much filler star-power might work to his detriment). Testimony drops April 15.
