Well that was fast. Newly-remerged Jay Electronica is back again with another song after quietly dropping “Better in Tune With the Infinite” last weekend. This time the Roc Nation signee teamed up with label head Jay Z on a remix of Soulja Boy’s “We Made It” from his 2013 King mixtape. The celebratory track sees Jay Z going from praising Lupita Nyong’o to dissing Drake (who released his own version of “We Made It” at the end of last year). “Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk/Silly me, rapping about sh*t that I really bought/While these rappers rap about guns, they ain’t shot/and a bunch of other silly sh*t they ain’t got," Jay Z raps, in response to Drake's recent Rolling Stone interview where Drizzy called him out for his art references. Drake stated, “It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references! I would love to collect at some point, but I think the whole rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.” Listen to the track below.
