Stream: FRAME, “Polarizer”

Hear a new sweetly-sung rock song from Brooklyn’s FRAME.

FADER PREMIERE

FRAME only has two songs on her SoundCloud page, but they're both great. The Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter pulls heavily from various corners of pop-rock's storied past, both angsty and candy-coated. On "Polarizer," the title track off her forthcoming debut record, she sounds a bit like Letters To Cleo playing in the backroom of a bar, and by the second time the chorus comes around (Puh-puh-polarizing), it's pretty hard not to sing along from your chair, foot tapping, finger wagging, totally immersed — as if you and FRAME were both scorned by the same person. If you're in New York, she's playing her first-ever show at the Lower East Side venue Pianos next Monday; listen to both her sweetly-sung rock songs below.
