Lykke Li and long-time collaborator Tarik Saleh have a new video for "No Rest For the Wicked," the first single off her upcoming album I Never Learn, out May 6. Like their previous collaboration, the video for "No Rest For The Wicked" tackles forbidden love in a dusky wilderness. Like the song itself, the video is both viscous and light, foreboding and sentimental, cutting between the lovers' sherpa-lined romance in tall grass and the disapproving expressions of onlookers as the two slow-dance at a bar. Tensions mount then cascade as she croons I let my true love die, and their innocent romance is beaten down when night finally falls.
