FADER PREMIERE

Cancer is the new duo of two Danish singers: Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild of When Saints Go Machine and Kristian Finne Kristensen of Chorus Grant. (I've been a huge fan of WSGM, who we profiled in print a few issues back, though their last album didn't seem to catch on stateside the way it could've—excited to see whether the refreshing of a new identity will further his music.) On "Same Color as Digital Photography," Vonsild takes the vocal lead, crafting a song that sounds a bit like Tunng scoring Antony in a dust storm, not quite a middle ground between the bandmates past output but a third point in a musical triangle. Is it the highest point? Cancer's Ragazzi LP comes out later this year via Tambourhinoceros, and it's up for preorder now.
