Parquet Courts share minimal new clip for “Sunbathing Animal”

April 16, 2014

Earlier this month we heard tell of Parquet Courts' reemergence via "Sunbathing Animal," the distressed title track from their forthcoming sophomore LP. Now, the New York quartet has released an unexpectedly minimal clip to accompany the four-minute thrasher. The video stars only singer-guitarist Andrew Savage's cat, Frida, and follows along as she does, well, not too much. Aside from the momentarily horrifying thought that she might leap from the couch out the open window, the clip (directed by Savage and Andy Capper) is largely drama free. Despite the fact that Savage and co. are kicking up dust in the background, Frida's content to mostly just sunbathe. Parquet Courts' second LP, Sunbathing Animal, is due out on June 3 through What's Your Rupture and Mom + Pop.
