Barack and Michelle Obama Remember Frankie Knuckles

The Obamas remember Chicago house legend Frankie Knuckles.

April 22, 2014

After the sad news last month of the passing of Chicago house legend Frankie Knuckles, fellow Chicagoans Barack and Michelle Obama have sent a condolence note to friends and family of Knuckles, which DJ David Morales has posted on his Facebook. In a testament to the incredible influence Knuckles has had on not just music, but contemporary culture, the Obamas write: "Frankie's work helped open minds and bring people together..." Read the letter below, and listen to a special FADER Mix that Knuckles made specifically for us last year.
