You might think you're awake, going about your day in a casual manner, but after watching this new video from South African producer Nozinja, the latest signing to Warp Records, you're going to feel AWAKE. It's a shot of audiovisual adrenaline. Nozinja is the creator of the warp-speed dance music Shangaan electro, which draws on local folk music, Tsonga disco, kwaito and South African house to make something so HI-NRG it tickles your innards. "Tsekeleke", Nozinja first release on Warp forthcoming on 12", combines helium vocals, intricate percussion and what could be a whole ton of sped-up video game sounds. Don't sleep on this.
