FADER PREMIERE

One of the founding members of Wiley's grime crew Roll Deep, Flowdan has an unmistakable tone: deep, low and gruff that, out of nowhere, rises to a controlled roar that hits you square in the chest. On "No Gyal Tune", over a tension-laced beat by east London producer Masro, Flowdan draws battle lines in mile-wide strokes. It's the first taste of his debut solo EP Serious Business due out on Hyperdub on June 2 and is the work of a man on a mission. "Grime’s always had that organised chaos vibe. But you can’t really package organised chaos," Flowdan told FACT Mag recently. Sounds like he's finding a way.
