FADER PREMIERE

Last year, New York's Archie Pelago got together with San Francisco producer Grenier in the latter's hometown to record for a week in the basement of an art gallery. The result was an album called Grenier Meets Archie Pelago, and it sounds even more free and off-grid than anything Archie Pelago has released thus far, even considering their penchant for blending off-kilter, club-inspired beatwork with the sounds of cello and brass. Here, we're debuting the woozy, jazzy, and subtly hard-hitting "Phosphorent." Grenier Meets Archie Pelago is out now via UK label Melodic.
